Alison concentrates mainly on deaths on the criminal justice system. She has represented families of detainees who have died in custody, and has sound knowledge of both the inquest system and the workings of prisons and police custody.
She is a member of the Inquest Lawyers Group.
Alison has a good understanding of prison law, and the workings of prisons and represents prisoners in both the courts and at disciplinary hearings within the prison. She also represents migrants who are being detained prior to deportation.
She has knowledge and expertise of prison law in many European countries and the USA, and can assist in preparing an advice on the likely impact of imprisonment for persons facing extradition or deportation to a European or USA prison.
